ClutterBlock is a Chrome browser extension that hides distracting content on websites such as YouTube Shorts, Twitter trends, LinkedIn feeds, Reddit popularity rankings, and Instagram Reels. It operates entirely within your browser using CSS injection and does not communicate with any external server.
ClutterBlock does not collect, process, or store any personal data. This includes, but is not limited to:
— Browsing history or visited URLs
— Device identifiers or IP addresses
— Usage statistics or analytics
— Crash reports or diagnostic data
— Any form of user account information
Your preferences — such as which websites have blocking enabled, your Pro license status, and any scheduled focus times — are saved exclusively using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
ClutterBlock does not make any network requests to external servers. No data is sent, synced, or transmitted anywhere. The extension works fully offline and does not require an internet connection beyond loading the web pages you visit normally.
ClutterBlock does not share any data with third parties — because no data is collected in the first place. No advertising networks, analytics providers, or external services are integrated into the extension.
ClutterBlock requests the following browser permissions solely for the purposes described:
— storage — to save your settings locally on your device
— alarms — to activate and deactivate blocking at your scheduled focus times (Pro)
— Host permissions for supported sites — to inject CSS that hides distracting elements
No permission is used to read, record, or transmit your data.
ClutterBlock does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As no data is collected at all, the extension is safe for use by anyone.
If this privacy policy is updated in the future, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Significant changes will be noted in the extension's changelog.
